AIR802® model CN2MCXP is a MCX plug (male) straight crimp coaxial connector sized to fit RG58, AIR802® CA195, Times Microwave LMR195® and Belden® 8240/8219 size cable.

AIR802® manufactures high precision and performance connectors. Connector selection is extremely important to insure proper operation and reliability. Poorly constructed connectors will cause higher VSWR and insertion loss resulting in electrical noise and intermittent issues. AIR802® manufactures very large quantities of connectors for our global customers allowing us to provide an attractive quality to price ratio.

In choosing connectors, it is important to match one to the type of cable being used, the impedance (50 versus 75 ohms), the frequency support, insertion loss, voltage rating, cable size or type and environmental specifications. If you are an amateur considering buying connectors to install, we recommend that you purchase our pre-manufactured antenna cable assemblies which have been professionally assembled and tested. Installation of connectors without experience and proper equipment will lead to improperly terminated connectors.

MCX connectors were introduced in the 1980's and are used in various wireless and other applications. They are compliant with the European CECC 22220 specification and are similar to but about a 1/3 smaller than a SMB connector. They are used in Apple® products. This MCX plug or male connector is for use with RG58 and 195-Series type cables, such as AIR802® CA195 and Times Microwave's LMR195®.
